Who we are

What we collect, and only when you give it

This site has no accounts and no login. Nothing below is collected unless you fill in a form or accept analytics cookies.

When you request a quotation

Your name, and any of the following you choose to provide: company name, country, phone number, email address, the equipment you are enquiring about, and the message you write. We record which page the request came from so we know what you were looking at.

When you subscribe to updates

Your email address, and which part of the site you subscribed from. Nothing else. Every email we send includes a way to unsubscribe.

When you allow analytics

If, and only if, you accept analytics in the cookie banner, we record which pages are visited and which actions are taken — for example that a quotation was started. These records are about pages and events, not about you personally, and we do not use them to build a profile or to advertise to you. Decline, and none of it is recorded. You can change your mind at any time using the cookie preferences link in the footer.

Why we hold it

• To answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation and follow it up. That is the main reason, and usually the only one.
• To send the updates you asked for, if you subscribed.
• To understand which equipment people are looking for, so the site and the range are useful. This uses the analytics records described above, and only with your consent.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not pass it to other companies for their own marketing.

Who else can see it

To run this site we use a small number of service providers. They process data on our instructions and for no purpose of their own.

• Vercel — hosts the website and serves the pages you are reading.
• Neon — the database where quotation requests and subscriptions are stored.
• Resend — sends the email confirming your enquiry, and notifies our sales desk.
• Google Maps— the map on our contact and home pages is an embedded Google frame. When it loads, Google may set its own cookies. That is Google's processing, under Google's terms, not ours.

Some of these providers operate servers outside Kenya, so your information may be stored or processed abroad. We choose providers that offer contractual protections for that transfer.

If you contact us on WhatsApp, that conversation happens on WhatsApp and is covered by their privacy terms as well as this notice.

How long we keep it

We keep quotation enquiries for as long as the enquiry is live and afterwards as part of our commercial records, since equipment of this kind is often re-quoted, serviced or expanded years later. We keep subscription records until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete any of it sooner, and we will unless we are required to keep it.

Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act, 2019, you can ask us to:

• tell you what information we hold about you, and give you a copy;
• correct anything that is wrong;
• delete it;
• stop using it for a particular purpose;
• stop sending you updates, at any time.

Email sales@roadbuck.co.ke and we will respond. If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner in Kenya.

Cookies

The site sets what it needs to work, and remembers your cookie choice. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them. Nothing on this site is used for advertising. Manage your choice from the cookie preferences link in the footer.

Changes

If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it. See also our terms of use.
